HISTORY OF BUILDING EXCELLENCE
Pukekohe Builders Ltd is a privately owned construction company which commenced operations in 1969. The company works in the Waikato and greater Auckland district. It started as a small family business and has grown to be an established company now in its second generation. We pride ourselves on service and producing a quality product, shown by our repeat customers and numerous awards for residential and commercial projects. These include Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards and New Zealand Commercial Project Awards. Completed projects include residential, commercial, industrial and institutional works. Our clients include business owners, developers, home owners, local authorities, school board’s of trustees and government departments.

CONSTRUCTION
We are a company whose on-site team is comprised of qualified carpenters and apprentices working through their carpentry qualifications. This focus means that you are receiving a building constructed by tradesmen. Once qualified, we support our carpenters to further educational development as Site Supervisors, Licensed Building Practitioners or tertiary qualifications in construction.
Each site has a foreman who is responsible for his team of tradesmen and liasing with subcontractors. He reports to the Contracts Manager who liases with clients, architects, project managers and any other professionals involved in the project. Our ISO 9001 certification for Quality Management Systems ensures a company environment supporting continual improvement and high standards of quality.
We are used to working to set timelines and will complete your project on time.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We can offer you full project management for your contract. We are conversant working with NZIA Conditions of Contract, 3910 and the Registered Master Builders Contract.
A contracts manager can supervise the overall site works for your contract and liase with architects, engineers and other professionals on a regular basis. A quantity surveyor keeps an accurate track of expenditure throughout the project, in particular variations and use of contingency funds. We have a full time office administrator so there is always a person to answer your calls and assist you.
We aim to make the building process a professional enjoyable experience.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Every worker should be safe at work and therefore we have a comprehensive range of policies and procedures in line with The Health and Safety Act 2015. Through training and auditing, we aim to ensure a safe environment for our team, subcontractors and the public.
To help achieve this, Pukekohe Builders Ltd is a registered Site Safe member and member of Hazardco. We have accreditation for ISO 45001 for Health and Safety and are independently audited every year to maintain our certification.
Our health and safety training includes Site Safe, Ramset, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform training.
We believe each project has its own unique requirements when it comes to health and safety, so we implement site-specific safety plans to counter the risks involved.
Health and Safety is a dynamic environment. We are always looking to improve our systems and evolve with the current environment. With constantly changing directives from the government, this will always be a work in progress.
